Be careful to avoid making quality or "fishability" judgements based solely upon modulus figures. Some new blanks have a low modulus number, but the resins used in manufacture make the blank faster than you might think!! Also, some high modulus blanks are stiff and lose a bit of sensitivity for some types of fishing, but are excellent blanks to use in windy conditions or for laying out long casts with lots of fly line. As always, feel free to call us if you have any questions!! |
