Use the spacing chart on Rod Building page to place guides. Set (A) Silicon carbide guides is a top of the line, Hi-tech set of guides. Tough and light. Set (B) new Hialoy guides - fast, tough, very light weight. A new favorite of many rod-builders. Set (C) traditional snake guide set with ceramic stripper(s). Still very, very popular among amateur and professional rod builders. Set (D) with new Pacific Bay Single foot running guides and traditional ceramic strippers.
