OKUMA MAGNITUDE FLY REELS
Inspiringly light. The ultra-light Magnitude series is one of the world’s only magnesium fly reels. Both traditional and large arbor reels weigh in at about 1/2 the weight of their aluminum counterparts. The magnesium reels are treated with a four coat process and elegant powder coat finish.
The MD series disc drag is a stainless steel and teflon system. The drag is controlled by a one-way bearing which allows for drag-free retrievals.
The ML series (large arbor) uses over-built, over-sized stainless sttel based disc drag which has no initial resistance, with an incredible high-end drag pressure. The drag is also controlled by an oversized roller bearing, allowing drag free retrievals.

Since the 1940's Pflueger Medalist fly reels have been the benchmark by which all modestly priced fly reels have been judged. These reels are still among the highest demand fly reels and the the most used of any fly reel. They are very reliable and carry a one year's warranty. These reels (except models 1492 and 1492 1/2 which are right hand wind only and have a single tension click drag only) have adjustable drag and are readily reversible from left to right-hand-wind. The reels are of a black-finished aluminum and have stainless steel line guides. No reel case included.
